Stamped asphalt has been applied to fourteen high-activity intersections in the regional city, in an effort to make the CBD more pedestrian-friendly. Using the patented StreetPrint® process, the existing asphalt was stamped at high heat to create a brick-like, textured effect. A StreetBond® coloured coating was then applied to the surface.

Sustainability and the minimisation of our environmental impact as a company is at the core of our values. StreetSTRONG has committed to becoming a carbon neutral company, as well as holding a sustainable certification in environmental system management.

According to the New South Wales Government Department of Planning and Environment, ‘Average temperatures in large cities are 1 °C to 3 °C higher than in rural areas, as urban areas tend to trap more heat than natural environments.’ This is a phenomenon known popularly as the Urban Heat Island effect.
